“I had significant issues with the rotting substructure of my 40-year-old oak deck and hired Anas and his team at Petra Decks for the refurbishment. They did an exceptional job! The crew thoroughly assessed the damage, explained their approach clearly, and completely replaced the compromised structural elements. Their attention to detail was impressive - they didn’t just cover up problems but properly addressed the underlying issues.
The team was professional, punctual, and kept me informed throughout the project. The finished deck looks fantastic and feels solid underfoot. I’m particularly impressed with their expertise in structural repairs, as they skillfully replaced rotted joists and supports while maintaining the deck’s original design.

“Anas and his helper were outstanding in every way. Showing up on time, demolishing and hauling away our 30+ year old deck on the first day, providing all we wanted to know about materials including samples, and doing a beautiful redesign that we just love. My wife finds it so much safer to navigate the wider stairs, and loves that the “drink rail” has room for her best flowering plants. I looked online for every deck builder near Covington, Black Diamond, and Maple Valley. And in Anas I found a man who really seems to enjoys and take pride in his craftsmanship.”

“We could not be happier with our new deck! Petra did an amazing job on a complicated project. Our very large deck is three stories off the ground, and the old wood had to be removed, and the new material installed from that height. Anas had some great suggestions about design. He and his assistant were reliable, worked diligently, and got our project finished on time. We had several bids for this project, and Petra’s was definitely one of the lower estimates. But I don’t think we could possibly have gotten a better result. We would not hesitate to recommend Anas and Petra Decks!!”

“We did an extensive amount of research trying to find the best company/contractor to do our deck remodel. This included 5 company’s and took several months and included interviews with project coordinators and company owners. After reviewing all the bids and talking through all of the options we wanted we settled on Petra Decks, a two man crew, to do the jobs and we are extremely happy with the work that was done for us and believe our new deck will last our lifetime.
We started with our old deck being Evergrain composite and cedar railing that we had to stain every year or so to keep it looking okay. We were tired of the upkeep and desired our new deck to be Timber Tech and our railing to be Trex black aluminum which is absolutely beautiful. The owner, Anas, and his helper Arles work very well together and are very communicative during the project. They always showed up on time each day and got the project completed on time and kept the work area cleaned up each day.
I am happy to be a reference for the work Petra Decks did for us and highly recommend you give them a call for your deck project

“I am a little delinquent in writing this. I guess we have been spending too much time enjoying the deck cover we had Anas build in March. Every day we come outside we marvel in how happy we are with the job. He built our deck in 2016. It still looks new but we had too much sun and rain on it. We decided we needed a cover. First person we called was Anas. He came right out and talked about covers, came up with something that frankly exceeded our needs and budget. He asked some questions, altered the design and ended up with what for us has been absolutely perfect. He came to start the job when he said he would, was here for some long days, and finished in the 3 day time frame he promised. They cleaned up after themselves, and even left some leftover materials I have used for other little projects. I would definitely recommend him and his company for any future work”

“If I could give a higher score than 5 they would be a 10... The whole crew was friendly and at the same time very hard working... They not only worked in the rain but in a hail storm.. The awesome +800 square foot deck took only 8 days... When I look out my kitchen window....I feel like I am in a fancy resort.... The deck is solid and could easily hold over 50 people... I recommend this crew to anyone needing a deck...”

“Love, love, love our deck. I had a design down on paper and Petra Decks helped me tweak it for better design aspects as well as maximum value and square footage based on available board lengths, etc. They were great at communication., worked when they said they would. Petra coordinated with our concrete pours and gas piping folks to get our entire project done as we wanted. Owner, Anas, was onsite every day - and was kind and instructional with his two assistants.
